Celery: Celery isn't just for Bloody Marys, although that's as close as many people get to this healthful veggie. Celery may have been used as a hangover cure in ancient Rome, but its real power lies in its ability to lower blood pressure and to keep your weight under control. If you have either of these problems (and they often travel together) you could do worse than grabbing a stalk of celery to chew on.

Crunchy Tuna Salad

ingredients

  • 1/2 small jí,cama
  • 1 large celery rib
  • 1/4 cup packed fresh cilantro
  • a 3/4 cup can tuna in olive oil
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • fresh lime juice to taste (optional)

directions

Peel jí,cama. Cut enough jí,cama and celery into 0.25 inch dice to measure 1/3 cup each. Chop cilantro. Drain tuna and in a bowl with a fork break up flakes to desired consistency. Stir in jí,cama, celery, cilantro, mayonnaise, mustard, and lime juice.
